About Us
The Hawgamasters of CT bass fishing club promotes proper fishing ethics, boater safety, sportsmanship and good ole fashion fun. Established in 1987, by its President Raymond Rondeau Jr, the Hawgmasters of CT has maintained an approximate annual membership of 24-32 members. The club does not recognize profit from any of its activities and all revenue is allocated to club expenditures and awards. There are approximately 10 to 12 closed tournaments (members only) held each year in public access waters located in Connecticut and neighboring Rhode Island. Although tournaments can be operated on an individual or team basis, the majority of them are team tournaments. Since the Hawgmasters of CT is a small organization, the club has already met its current membership cap of 34 members or 17 teams. Future membership growth will be considered on a case by case basis. Although each club member is very competitive, camaraderie and mutual respect can be found throughout. As the popularity of this sport continues to grow, we hope that all fishermen and women continue to present themselves as respectful stewards of public waters, to preserve the future of bass fishing for generations to come. Good luck on the water and have fun!
